US Overnight Trading Guide
1. What is US overnight trading?
Overnight trading is a brand new trading session!
Trading hours are Sunday to Thursday, 20:00 – 04:00 the next day (Eastern Time).
Timezone: Eastern Time
2. What are the fees for US overnight trading?
Same as regular session fees.
3. How to place an overnight order?
If the stock details page shows the overnight icon, overnight trading is supported.
- Select a ticker that supports overnight trading and choose "Limit Order" as the order type.
- Set the order duration to "Day".
- Select "Overnight Only" under "Session" to place an overnight order.
After placing an "Overnight Only" order, you can find it in the order list during the overnight session. It will be tagged with "Overnight".
4. What order types are supported?
Overnight sessions currently support limit orders with Day duration. Unfilled overnight orders expire automatically when the overnight session ends.
5. Is short selling supported?
Short selling is not supported.
6. Can I place orders in advance?
No. Overnight orders must be submitted during overnight hours.
7. Which trading day does overnight belong to?
Overnight is a T+1 session. For example, overnight on Monday evening (ET) belongs to Tuesday's trading day.
