Basic Fields
1. Market Cap
Formula:Market Cap = Total Shares × Latest Price
Definition:The total market value of a listed company's shares at current market prices.
2. Float Market Cap
Formula:Float Market Cap = Float Shares × Latest Price
Definition:The market value of the portion of shares that are tradable on the secondary market.
3. Total Shares
Definition:The total number of shares issued by a company, including both tradable and non-tradable shares listed on exchanges.
4. Float Shares
Definition:Shares of a listed company that are tradable on the exchange.
Note:For ADR-listed stocks, float share data is based on research reports, financial reports and other official sources for reference only.
5. Turnover Rate
Formula:Turnover Rate = Traded Shares / Float Shares / Trading Period × 100%
Definition:The frequency of share trading within a given period, reflecting how actively shares change hands.
6. Amplitude
Formula:Amplitude = (Day High − Day Low) / Previous Close × 100%
Definition:The percentage difference between the day's high and low relative to the previous close, reflecting stock activity to some extent.
7. Bid-Ask Ratio
Formula:Bid-Ask Ratio = (Bid Volume − Ask Volume) / (Bid Volume + Ask Volume) × 100%
Definition:The ratio of buy orders to sell orders in the order book, measuring relative buying and selling strength over a period.
8. Volume Ratio
Formula:Volume Ratio = (Current Volume / Minutes Since Open) / 5-Day Avg Volume Per Minute
Definition:The ratio of average per-minute volume since market open to the 5-day average per-minute volume, measuring relative trading activity.
Financial Fields
1. P/E Ratio (Static)
- HK/US/A-shares/China Concepts = Current Market Cap / Last Fiscal Year Net Profit Attributable to Parent
- US Stocks/China Concepts (ADR) = Latest Price / Diluted EPS
Definition:A metric to assess whether a stock price is reasonable. Static P/E uses actual full-year financial data, ignoring short-term profit changes, and allows cross-company comparison.
2. P/E Ratio (TTM)
- HK/A-shares: Current Market Cap / Sum of Net Profit Attributable to Parent over Past 12 Months
- US Stocks/China Concepts (ADR): Latest Price / Sum of Diluted EPS over Past 12 Months
Definition:P/E based on EPS from the most recent 12 months of reports. TTM EPS sums four quarterly reports and updates as new quarters are reported, smoothing seasonal and cyclical effects.
3. P/E Ratio (Forward)
Formula:Forward P/E = Current Market Cap / Forecast Net Profit Attributable to Parent for Current Fiscal Year
Definition:Forward P/E (excluding HK and A-shares without forecasts) is based on analyst estimates, reflecting expectations of future earnings and whether the stock may be undervalued.
4. P/B Ratio
Formula:P/B = Latest Price / Net Assets per Common Share Attributable to Shareholders
Definition:The ratio of market cap to book value or shareholders' equity, reflecting balance sheet asset value relative to share price.
5. Dividend Yield
Definition:The ratio of dividends to share price, reflecting profitability and the stability of cash dividends.
A-share Calculation:
- Dividend Yield TTM = Cash Dividends over Past 12 Months / Market Cap on the Day
- Dividend Yield LFY = Cash Dividends in Last Fiscal Year / Market Cap on the Day
HK/US/China Concepts (ADR) Calculation:
- Dividend Yield TTM = Cash Dividends over Past 12 Months / Market Cap on the Day
- Dividend Yield LFY = Cash Dividends in Last Fiscal Year / Market Cap on the Day
Note:
- Dividend TTM = Sum of Dividends per Share over Past 4 Quarters
- Dividend LFY = Sum of Dividends per Share in Last Fiscal Year
- Dividend Yield TTM = Dividend TTM / Share Price
- Dividend Yield LFY = Dividend LFY / Share Price
