Clarity Act Passes Chances Plummet Due to Republicans Rejection of Democratic Proposal
2026-09-15 22:29:01
According to CoinMeta, the chances of Clarity Act passing plummeted on Tuesday when the Republican Party rejected the Democratic Party's counterproposal, leaving the two sides far apart before the crucial procedural vote. Senator Cynthia Lummis ( Cynthia Lummis ) stated that the Democratic Party's proposal had hardly changed from their stance before the August recess. She noted, "The Democratic Party's counterproposal looks exactly the same as their initial position at the start of the recess." Currently, Polymarket bettors have reduced the likelihood of Clarity Act becoming law in 2026 to just 14%. Meanwhile, traders of Kalshi are also delaying any potential breakthroughs.
