BNB Chain announced that it will launch a new Layer 1 blockchain for AI-assisted transactions, aiming to reduce transaction confirmation time to less than 50 milliseconds and block finalization time to less than 1 second. According to its published roadmap, the testnet for this new chain is planned for launch by the end of 2026.

Targeting high frequency and low latency

BNB Chain developers stated that this project continues the three key priorities they previously set for BSC: speed, throughput, and protocol stability. The new network aims for a throughput of over 100,000 transactions per second and hopes to further improve overall performance by processing multiple transactions in parallel and by improving data storage and verification methods.

Based on the disclosed information, this chain mainly serves transaction scenarios that are more sensitive to latency, especially when AI agents automatically execute fund scheduling and on-chain operations, where the requirements for confirmation speed and stability are higher.

Cancel public memory pool

In terms of technical design, BNB Chain states that the new chain will remove the traditional public mempool and introduce a transaction transmission mechanism called TxStream. According to this design, transactions will be sent directly to block producers to shorten transmission paths and reduce latency.

BNB Chain believes this approach can also reduce some MEV extraction activities, especially common practices such as mezzanine attacks. The public mempool has always been a significant source of on-chain front-running and transaction ordering games; switching to targeted transmission could potentially narrow the attack space.

The testnet is scheduled for the end of 2026.

BNB Chain's current timeline indicates that the testnet will launch before the end of 2026. The official launch date for the mainnet has not yet been disclosed, nor have more detailed validator arrangements, compatibility details, or developer integration plans been released.

  • The target throughput is over 100,000 transactions per second.
  • Transaction confirmation time is less than 50 milliseconds
  • The final block determination time is less than 1 second.

Additional information:The article also mentioned that the construction of infrastructure for AI agents to autonomously transfer funds and execute transactions is becoming a focus for many crypto and technology companies. BNB fell 2.8% that day, with a cumulative decline of nearly 6% over the past month.
